Arrive and check-in to hotel on prior day We head out on the first day to the iconic IIMB main campus and visit the institution’s new campus with Sanjay Mohe from Mindspace, the architects. As part of these visits we will have access to the main academic buildings and the resource people will make presentations on the history of this important institution and its architectural & landscape heritage. Day 2
Bangalore has a great history of inspired patronage, both for private commissions and public institutions. Apart from the architects we will also meet a few of the clients who have inspired and supported them to produce work of national significance. As part of the city tour, ten important practices, not covered in the tour, will make short presentations followed by a dinner where all the participants and resource people will get to meet.

Day 3
Since the year 2000, Bangalore has been home to the headquarters of some of the largest Indian & multi-national companies. Apart from these large campuses, large scale housing has also been a big part of the architectural output in the city. As part of the third day, we visit two ambitious corporate campuses, one for WIPRO and the other for Goldman Sachs. We will also visit one of the celebrated local developer, Total Environment’s, projects where we can see both finished portions and on-going construction. We spend the afternoon with Naresh Narasimhan of VA, visiting a couple of their public projects and BLR Design Centre, a new repository of design thinking they have opened in the city.

Day 4
Heading north on the last day of the tour we visit an exquisitely detailed studio by Between Spaces, a young city practice.
