Participants will also explore the differences between contracts and non-contractual agreements. The day progresses into the realm of public procurement, highlighting various standard forms of contracts like those from NITI Aayog, CPWD, and R&B model documents. Detailed discussions will be held on procurement methods and approval processes typical to public sector projects. The day concludes with case studies and group discussions, providing participants with an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios.
-
Module 2 : Risk Management and Negotiations
The second day focuses on risk management and its impact on project outcomes. Topics include project scoping, risk identification, allocation, and strategies to mitigate time and cost overruns. Following this, participants shall delve into the intricacies of contract negotiations, from preparation to finalization, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle such scenarios effectively. The session transitions into managing variations and claims. Practical exercises and project-based discussions reinforce the day's learning objectives.
