About

Leaders in Urban Transport Planning and Management is a capacity building program organized jointly by CEPT University and The World Bank as part of the ongoing SUTP project for the Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India. The 8-month program is also supported by PPIAF, ESMAP, and is targeted at senior and mid-level professionals from urban transport and allied agencies including high-level policy and decision-making officials at all levels of government — national, state and city. It is a ‘Work Integrated Learning Program’, providing a platform to in - service transport professionals to broaden their perspective, knowledge base and skill sets in the related field, and there by translate their learning into action at the workplace. 

Program Structure

Professionals from different background like planning, engineering, management, finance, etc. get to understand all dimensions of urban transport and are engaged in active learning through interaction and experience sharing among professionals holding different functions. Participants also get an international exposure to the good practices in urban transport. Since the first leaders program in 2012, around 246 participants from 45 cities in India have successfully completed the full program over 7 offerings.
